Frequently Asked Questions

When we started staying at B&B’s in 1985, we quickly realized that they can vary greatly when it comes to personality and policies. Over the years we learned what questions to ask, things that are important to us. If you’ve never stayed at a B&B before, these are some good questions to start with.

How much privacy will we have?

This is an especially important question to ask if you’re going away for a romantic weekend. All of our suites are not only spacious, but very private. No two are right next to each other, or even across the hall from one another.

Do you offer private baths?

Some B&B’s aren’t real clear on the bathroom situation. This is something you don’t want to be surprised by when you arrive. All of our suites have private baths.

What time can we check-in?

Our regular check-in time is 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., but we try to be as flexible as possible. If you’d like to check-in earlier and we’re able to have your suite ready, we’ll let you check-in earlier. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Again, sometimes we can be flexible.

What time is breakfast served?

Many B&B’s have one set time they serve breakfast. We let you choose your time, between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., sometimes earlier if possible. We also start you out with a tray of coffee left outside your suite before breakfast. That way you don’t have to wait until breakfast for that first cup!

Is there a sitting area in our room?

This can be particularly important if you’re staying more than a night or two. All of our suites have a separate room for relaxing with sofas, chairs, and televisions.

What floor is our suite on?

Many historical B&B’s can only offer accommodations on the second floor. We’re able to offer one of our suites on the first floor for those who have difficulty with stairs.

Do we control our own heat and air-conditioning?

Yes, each suite controls their own heat and air-conditioning.

Do you allow children?

Our policy allows school-age children, a minimum of five years old, with prior arrangements. Our two bedroom suite is a great accommodation for families, however not all younger children are ready for a B&B experience. We do observe a quiet time after 10:00 p.m.
